Likewise with diet and exercise, different 'tools' suit different situations and different people. Some of us require more of certain nutrients, types of movement or periods of rest than others, in order to function at our best.

A system that works in synchrony wastes less energy, and multiplies its power
As we all know, diet, exercise and rest are all important - and they work best when they work together.
I specialize in hybrid plans that bring into alignment the functions of your metabolic, digestive, cardiovascular and hormone systems to powerfully multiply the benefits of nutrition, movement, and effective rest.
What does that mean?
We are increasingly understanding that all bodily systems are connected. If one system is over-or under-worked, it is likely having knock-on effects elsewhere. We are only as strong as our weakest link.
For example, if your digestion is down, you are not receiving the full benefits of your nutrition, and will likely see impaired physical and mental performance, and sleep. If you are eating a perfect diet, but are not physically active - those nutrients will not be circulated through your blood or utilized by your body effectively, eventually weakening your muscles and bones. If you workout all the time, but eat junk, your hormones and neural systems will become dysregulated.
Together, we will identify sustainable strategies that address any weaknesses or imbalances between those systems, get them firing together and accelerate your results.
Hybrid Nutrition & Movement plans
We start with a comprehensive review of your current eating and movement habits. This takes a little time because I feel it is important to capture not just a snapshot - but a 360 degree view - of your habits, the major rhythms of your life - and the deviations from those routines.
Often we fall into patterns of eating and moving that - though may on the surface be 'healthy' are no longer working as well as they did in our bodies - and could be causing stagnation - or even harm.
Whether your goals are in the area of sports / performance, body composition, weight loss, mood or energy balancing - a full and honest review of your current patterns is the first step to identifying where we will be able to create maximum leverage.

An 80/20 approach
This is the rule that a small minority of our choices and actions (inputs) are responsible for the great majority of our outcomes.
Health is no exception. Nutrition and exercise advice can be overwhelming - and many of us get caught up in trying to follow All of the advice, All of the time - and inevitably failing.
The truth is that often there are a few simple 'big wins' that - with focus - will help move you forward much more powerfully, and allow you to stop sweating a lot of the small stuff!
I can help you to see that 'wood from the trees' - identifying where a few simple changes can stimulate your body to work more efficiently, making better use of the healthy foods and movement that you put in, finding a better balance between activity and rest, and building strength in your body and mind so that you can feel your best in all aspects of life.
Consistent variety, built in
It is easy to fall into the trap of believing that the path to health is linear - we simply need to find the perfect diet or exercise plan - stick to that - and all will be well. However this is not only an impossible task - but also not true!
Optimal wellness is not an 'end goal' - but a lifelong process - of consistent challenge, stimulation, and variety. One diet does not suit every body, nor even does one approach suit one body all of the time!
We each have our unique - and ever changing systems, and our bodies and minds truly thrive best on a diverse and stimulating variety of nutrients and physical movement.
My plans take this into account - ensuring that there's plenty of variety built in - to give you a truly effective, sustainable - and more enjoyable! - base for your own health journey.
